<p><strong>Ben Baby of ESPN reported that <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/joe-flacco" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Joe Flacco</a> was not only practicing, but also throwing footballs during Thursday’s practice.</strong> This is great news for the Bengals who have seen how Flacco reignited their offense. </p>



<p>On the Bengals, <strong>Flacco is throwing for 261.3 yards per game, with seven touchdowns and no interceptions</strong>. With Flacco, the Bengals are averaging 29.7 points per game. The <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">NFL</a> veteran is still savvy with tricks under his sleeve.</p>



<h2>If Flacco isn’t there, it’s Jake Browning again</h2>



<p>Browning played four games this season but started three. He is 0-3. He is completing 64.5% of his passes for 189.3 yards per game with <strong>six touchdowns and eight interceptions. </strong></p>

<p><strong>Under Browning as a starter, the Bengals averaged 12.3 points a game</strong>. In fact, they scored 10 or less twice. <h2>The Bengals can win with Flacco but it’s still not easy</h2>



<p>While Flacco is producing the goods, he still can’t win all games despite having great outputs. Why? <strong>The Bengals defense is as bad as they come</strong>. They rank 32nd in yards allowed per game, 30th in passing defense, 32nd in rushing defense and 32nd in points allowed. Literally, it’s the worst unit in the NFL.</p>



<p>Hence, shootouts is the way to go. <strong>With Browning, there is no chance to win shootouts.</strong> With Flacco, there is a chance, but there are no guarantees he will win week in and week out.</p>

<p>While no one expects Shough to be perfect, openly admitting he will make mistakes is not what <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/new-orleans-saints" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Saints</a>‘ fans want to hear. Not only that, but he will have fun doing it? <strong>Saints’ fans were used to Drew Brees, after that, it’s been disaster after disaster in the QB position.</strong> Hence, they want solid play, not being concerned about mistakes on their passer.</p>



<h2>Rattler’s numbers were not enough to avoid benching</h2>



<p>Rattler is 1-7 this season but 1-13 overall in his career. <strong>In 2025, he completed 68% of his passes for 1586, eight touchdowns and five interceptions</strong>. His passer rating is 86.8 which is slightly below average. He also had four fumbles. </p>

<h2>Does Shough provide an upgrade?</h2>



<p>Shough and Rattler both played against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. <strong>They had basically the same statline, though Rattler was a bit more efficient</strong>. Rattler ended 15/21 for 136 yards and one interception with a 68.7 passer rating.</p>



<p>As for Shough, he ended 17/30 for 128 yards, one interception and a 53.2 passer rarting. Hence, <strong>looking at the raw numbers, Shough is actually a bit of a downgrade compared to Rattler.</strong> However, now Shough has the chance to prove doubters wrong.</p>

<p><strong>Kirk Cousins went 21 of 31 for 173 yards against the Dolphins</strong>. The Falcons scored a single touchdown and lost 34-10 against Tagovailoa. Raheem Morris told reporters on Wednesday that Penix was in the building and the team is optimistic about his chances to play against the Patriots.&nbsp;</p>

Of course, <strong>he’s seen less snaps, but he has now averaged 3.5 yards per attempt</strong>. With more opportunities, more chances to better his numbers.</p>

The 24-year-old has exploded into Dart’s first option, given the season-ending injury of <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/malik-nabers" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Malik Nabers</a>. <strong>Robinson has 494 yards and two touchdowns this season.</strong></p>
