Marvin Harrison Jr.’s second season is off to a shaky start. The former No. 4 overall pick had a decent rookie season, catching 62 passes for 885 yards and eight touchdowns.&nbsp;



He was expected to take his game to new levels, but after four games, Harrison has yet to show his best. After the Seattle Seahawks’ 23-20 win over the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/arizona-cardinals" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Arizona Cardinals</a>, Harrison has recorded 16 receptions for 208 yards and two touchdowns.&nbsp;



He posted his best game of the season against Seattle, catching six passes for 66 yards and one touchdown. Despite showing a better face, Harrison continues to face criticism.&nbsp;

You have to be a guy who’s available and can run every route in the route tree. You can’t be a liability when you’re out there. And at times it seems like that’s what it is for Marvin Harrison Jr.,“ he said. 



The Cardinals are 2-2 after two consecutive losses. Harrison showed signs of improvement on Thursday, but also dropped a slant pass that resulted in an interception by linebacker Ernest Jones.&nbsp;



This has become a notable issue for the Cards, but the team is still behind its top wide receiver.&nbsp;

The Seahawks could be 4-0 now if it weren’t for a game-winning drive by Brock Purdy in the season opener. They are on the right track to compete for another division title, and if Darnold continues on this path, the Seahawks could make more noise.&nbsp;

He’s still only 26, so I thought he was like 29 or close to 30.”

“I’m not worried about him at all, not not even a little bit,” Egbuka said, before diving into the habits that make Harrison a special worker. “Looking at the stats and stuff, I think you know what, what we set out to do held true. And just the amount of work I’ve seen him put in over the past years when we were at Ohio State, like, this dude working until dark. He wakes up early, and he’s just constantly thinking about football. So, you know, the yips are a real thing. They happen from time to time. I’ve had them myself, but there’s absolutely no worries.”



Harrison recorded the best game of his sophomore season, grabbing six passes for 66 yards and one touchdown in a hard-fought 23-20 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. This might be the turning point of his season, but time will tell how he fares moving forward.&nbsp;

“Predictable is the word, I have a massive issue with the pistol with them,” Orlovsky said. “And I think it hurts their play-action. I think it hurts their run, even though it’s a good run offense, it could be elite, and then I think it hurts Michael Penix in his movement. Because they’re in the shotgun so much, because they’re in the pistol so much, Michael Penix is almost made to be a statue. There are so many clips where he doesn’t even move his feet, because they promote that style of play.”



The Falcons entered the season considered the biggest threat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but after three games, the offense has regressed. Michael Penix Jr. needs to find his rhythm again, or his time as a starter might come to an end soon.&nbsp;

The two don’t always connect, but a legitimate No. 1 target will go a long way as the season progresses.”



Carolina will face the New England Patriots in Week 4, hoping to build on the win against the Falcons. Young and McMillan will face a tough challenge, as New England allowed just 139 yards passing in Week 3.&nbsp;

“It’s huge. Coach Brian Callahan discussed potential changes within the team ahead of Week 4, including his play-calling duties. The Titans’ offense hasn’t looked good so far, and they often rely on big plays from certain players to score or get close to the end zone.&nbsp;

“We’ve got to find a way to put ourselves in position to win games,” Callahan said. “We have to do a lot of things better. Everybody is included in that, me as well. There have been some good things offensively. We just need more of it through the course of a game.”

The Saints are 0-3 after losing to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3. They are a shell of the team that often played in NFC championship games and looked like legitimate Super Bowl candidates. They have good players, such as Alvin Kamara and Chris Olave, but the rest of the roster isn’t as good.&nbsp;



General manager Mickey Loomis is under the spotlight for the lack of competitiveness from the team in recent seasons. The roster construction hasn’t been the best, which has hurt the team’s chances to shine.&nbsp;



<h2>Saints GM under criticism for years of bad results&nbsp;</h2>



Crissy Froyd of Saints Wire writes that Loomis’ record without Sean Payton isn’t as decent as the 208-167 (.555) record he holds for his career. Without the now Denver Broncos head coach, Loomis holds a 49-69 (.415) record.&nbsp;

“Without Payton on the sidelines coaching this team, Loomis’ record as a GM plummets beneath the .500 mark, at 49-69 (.415),” Freud wrote. “That is startling to say the least. Between the Saints’ 28-36 run in his first four years on the job from 2002 to 2005 and the four years Loomis has overseen in the post-Payton era from 2022 to 2025 (going 21-33 so far), his reputation has taken some big hits. With the team opening the season at 0-3 for the first time since 2016, it’s plenty reasonable to believe things could go awry sooner rather than later.”



The Saints could add a new quarterback to lead the franchise in 2026. It remains to be seen if Loomis retains his job after a season that doesn’t look promising at all.&nbsp;

Even though the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/new-england-patriots" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">New England Patriots</a> are 1-2 after three weeks, Drake Maye is demonstrating he is the quarterback for the future. The former North Carolina playmaker isn’t putting up spectacular numbers, but he’s gotten more comfortable in his role after 16 starts in his career.&nbsp;



The Patriots lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3, with <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/drake-maye">Maye</a> putting up solid numbers. He completed 28 of 37 pass attempts for 268 yards and two touchdowns. On the other side, he was intercepted once and sacked five times.&nbsp;



<a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/mike-vrabel">Mike Vrabel</a> is in his first season as the Patriots’ head coach, and he’s taking the team through he right path. Maye has completed 72.6% of his passes after three games, and he’s thrown five touchdowns and two interceptions. 



The Patriots’ offense must do a good job protecting him, as he’s been sacked 12 times in three games.&nbsp;All in all, Vrabel is excited about his player, and he had positive words for the former No. 3 overall pick.

After the Week 3 matchup ended, Vrabel heaped praise on the young player. He admitted that Maye still has room for growth, but he’s taking the right steps to become a star.&nbsp;

“A lot of good. A lot of good. And unfortunately, some decisions that have to be better. I’m sure we’ll have to protect him better,” Vrabel said of Maye. And just understanding that you don’t have to win it all on one play. There’s opportunities to move on and save the day in the next play. 



“You can’t put the ball in harm’s way at that position. But certainly Drake wasn’t alone. But there’s a lot of really good things in there, his ability to extend plays, scramble, pick up 1st downs for us, run multiple plays inside the pocket, outside the pocket. There’s a lot of good things in there, just some decision making that we need to have be better for him and for himself.”



The Patriots are a young team that has shown glimpses of the team they could become. They are on the right track, and if Maye continues to develop, this team could compete for big things in the mid-term.&nbsp;

While the offense has taken most of the attention so far, the Seahawks’ defense has played at a high level, too, and they found a good player on waivers to enhance their dominance.&nbsp;



Seahawks’ cornerback Derion Kendrick put on a solid performance against the Saints, including his second interception in as many weeks. He finished with four tackles and three passes defended in addition to the pick.&nbsp;

When the Saints went to three receivers, Kendrick forgot the call to play in the slot. In a word, he was outstanding. When playing man coverage, Kendrick often had to follow the Saints’ best receiver, Chris Olave. He did surrender a couple of short outs to the New Orleans’ star, but he shut those plays down quickly, allowing no yards after the catch.”



The Seahawks will face off against the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday, hoping to continue their good moment in the league. The Seahawks are on the right track to conquer the NFC West, but the schedule won’t be easy.&nbsp;
