<p><strong><a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/trey-lance">Trey Lance</a></strong> has been playing for the <strong><a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/san-francisco-49ers">San Francisco 49er</a></strong>s since 2021, but so far he has started just four games with a 2-2 record. Cohn reported that Shanahan does not want Lance to be the starter, and that he is trying to sabotage Lance’s chances <strong>by putting him in difficult situations during the preseason. </strong>This was evident in the preseason game against the <strong><a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/las-vegas-raiders">Las Vegas Raiders</a></strong>, where <strong>Shanahan called multiple passing plays, which is not the 49ers’ usual offensive game plan.</strong></p>

<p>Crosby explained the situation after the practice: “I was talking trash to Kyle and he’s laughing at me. <p><em>“I think Jimmy [Garoppolo] was unbelievable for us,” </em>Shanahan said, via <em>NBC Sports’ Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports. “He won lots of games. </em><strong><em>I think that was a simple question</em>. <em>Is there a scenario where he’ll be back here next year and I gave a common sense answer — ‘No.’ I think that was a little overblown, on trying to be a shot at him or anything</em></strong><em>. <strong>We knew he wasn’t going to be coming back</strong> from his standpoint or ours, financially and everything.</em></p>



<p>“<em>I think he was the best quarterback here in about 20 years in Steve Young. Has an unbelievable record and every time he played and stayed healthy we were in the Super Bowl or the NFC Championship game.”</em></p>
