“I can hang, especially for the shooting portion,” Thompson said on Paul George’s podcast. “But when he does ball-handling with a tennis ball, he’s got these lights and is doing all this crazy globetrotter jester stuff.”



“He juggles the ball, goes behind his back, and I’m like, ‘Bro, I just need 1-2 dribbles to get my spot.’ I’ve been his teammate for so long, I’m still in awe of how he prepares,” Thompson added.

It just ended up having to be a decision we had to make and so be it.



“At the same time, we needed to get Draymond back, what he brings to this team and what he has meant for the last 10 years. That’s going to keep going. That matters,” he added. “So we prioritized that. And from there, we knew … another contract probably needed to be moved. And Jordan ended up being that one. But we feel like getting a player back of Chris Paul’s caliber can negate that in some ways or pick up that slack, It’s kind of the business that we do. And we’re in a good spot.”

Bazemore started his career at the Warriors after going undrafted in 2012, signing a two-way contract until being traded to the Lakers in 2014. He returned to San Francisco six years later, but in August 2021 Bazemore once again left for LA. In his second stint with the purple and gold he played next to LeBron James.

Toscano-Anderson also has a history with both teams. The Marquette product made his way to the Dubs roster from the Santa Cruz Warriors in 2020 and eventually won the 2022 Finals with the team. He left for the Lakers in the following offseason, but was traded to Utah in February 2023.
