“There’s just too many penalties that put us against a very, very good defense,” McCoy said of the Titans’ ultimate fate. “That makes it hard, just keep going backwards instead of having positive plays. He admitted that the team did some positive things, but they need to improve and be more consistent, especially against a team with the talent the Texans possess.&nbsp;

“You know what I noticed in this game? This just may be me. But it was almost like Drake Maye was in Baker’s head,” Cowherd said. “Baker has a lot of confidence, and Drake Maye is just making plays, and he’s making big throws, and they take a lead. It’s in Tampa, and it’s Baker’s house. 



And Baker was running more than he should run. Baker was doing a little too much to me, running around in the pocket, looking for the big play downfield. Now, Tampa’s a big-play offense, but watching that game, watching Drake Maye, I kept asking myself, is New England the best team in the AFC?”



Maye has drawn MVP buzz amid the Patriots’ 8-2 season. They remain one of the best teams in the AFC, and nobody knows what their ceiling is.

While noting that the Colts’ offense allows Jones to play at the best level, he added that the quarterback could emulate what Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold did in prior seasons.&nbsp;

“Jones has a chance to become the biggest earner in the free agency class,” Fowler wrote. “The Colts appear all-in on keeping Jones long term, and they have comps for former top-10 picks who thrived when quarterbacking a new team: Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold, who each earned three-year deals worth around $100 million. Jones would totally be justified asking for that … with interest.”



Coincidentally, Mayfield and Darnold bounced around the league trying to find their place. Mayfield settled with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Darnold with the Seattle Seahawks, landing big contracts in the process. Jones has the numbers to ask for something similar.&nbsp;

The Colts have everything to shock the world this campaign and make a deep playoff run, but not everybody thinks they are capable of sustaining this level of performance for the rest of the season.&nbsp;

Ali Bhanpuri of <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">NFL</a>.com predicts the Colts to deflate (no pun intended) a little in the second half of the season. The analyst believes Indianapolis will lose its No. 1 seed to the Kansas City Chiefs.&nbsp;

Bhanpuri projects the Colts to finish with a 12-5 record and the No. 4 seed in the conference, behind the Chiefs (13-4), the New England Patriots (13-4) and the Baltimore Ravens (12-5).

Marvin Harrison Jr. struggled at the start of the campaign, but found a footing by the weeks. He is part of the team’s future plans, but it seems like he isn’t in the best situation to shine.&nbsp;



<h2>Trey McBride could make NFL history this season</h2>



Star tight end Trey McBride, playing his fourth campaign in the league, is one of the few bright spots the Cardinals have had this season. The Colorado State product has become one of the most reliable players in his position, and his numbers this season are a testament to how important he is for the Cardinals.&nbsp;

NFL researcher Dante Koplowitz-Fleming shared on Tuesday that McBride leads the Cardinals in offensive touches, scrimmage yards and scrimmage touchdowns in 2025. In nine games this campaign, McBride has recorded 61 receptions on 88 targets for 603 yard and six touchdowns. He came off his best season in 2024, but this one could be better if he continues to deliver.&nbsp;

“There’s a team down in Chapel Hill that is playing a little better,” Edelman said on his “Games With Names” podcast on Monday. “What if the Giants brought in Bill Belichick? He f**king loves them. We all know that. Guy shed a single tear every time we played there. The only time I saw him get happy. We talked about LT (Lawrence Taylor). I don’t know, the Giants really don’t make, like, crazy hires like that. Maybe because they did an in-season change, they’re changing their way a little.”



Belichick won two Super Bowls with the Giants, and he reportedly loves the franchise. Perhaps a reunion would be in the cards for the front office, but he’s not the only one drawing attention for the job.&nbsp;
