For many football fans, the Dolphins may have one of the best offenses in the entire league. In 2022 they signed Tyreek Hill, securing a top-tier wideout to help <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/tua-tagovailoa" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Tua Tagovailoa</a>.



That same year, Hill signed a 4-year contract extension. However, he has been asking for a new deal for a long time, but it seems like the Dolphins are not worried to give him one soon.



<h2>Report: Tyreek Hill has been asking for a contract extension since 2023</h2>



For many fans and analysts, Tyreek Hill is currently the best wide receiver in the NFL. He has quickly become Tua Tagovailoa’s top target, and he is well aware of how he has bolstered the team’s offense since his arrival in 2022.

According to Pro Football Talk, Hill has been eyeing a contract extension since the end of the 2023 season. In that campaign, he led the NFL in both receiving yards (1,799) and receiving touchdowns (13), which is why he believes the team should offer him a new deal.

A few months ago, Tyreek Hill was the best-paid wide receiver in the NFL. However, A.J. Brown and Amon-Ra St. Brown signed new deals earlier this year, surpassing the earnings of the former Chiefs player.

The LSU product dug deeper into Tua’s tape and was eventually sold. He’s not the average lefty quarterback, so he believes he can still make things work in South Beach: 



“They said he just throws different. They said the accuracy and the spin, they’re like it’s not really like he’s left-handed. Just watching his film, there’s a lot of great things that he’s been doing,” OBJ added. “He did it at Alabama, did it here with the Dolphins. Like I said, I’ve just seen an opportunity when I really watched the film, when I really sat down and didn’t look at a destination. I looked at myself in the mirror and a place for me and my career. I’ve just seen a lot of opportunity here.”

The controversial pundit pointed out how stacked the Dolphins’ is right now. He believes the LSU product will find it difficult to get ahead of any of their stars in the pecking order, so those incentives might not be realistically reachable:



“And that won’t be easy to do. At the very best, Beckham will be WR3 on the depth chart, behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Then there’s the running back room, which has plenty of competent players. With only one ball, it could be hard for Beckham to get his hands on it,” Florio continued in his column.

Jaylen Waddle is currently the WR2 in the team’s depth chart. He joined the Dolphins in 2021 as a 6th overall pick to be Tagovailoa’s primary target, but Hill’s arrival changed it all.



Three years later, Waddle, who has amassed at least 1,000 yards in each of his first three seasons, is rumored to be leaving the Dolphins. Hill finds this idea nonsensical and has criticized the team’s fans for supporting it.



“My boy Waddle is the future,” Hill wrote on X. “He is better than I was at this point in his career and for people in this fan base to want to trade him is ludicrous.”
